OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING 
3 c. milk
3 eggs
3 c. biscuit cakes
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. melted butter
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Combine milk, eggs and sugar in large bowl; mix well. Stir in biscuit cakes. Let stand for 5-10 minutes. Stir in raisins, butter, lemon peels and salt. Pour into 2 quart buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50-55 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean. May bake in pan of hot water. Serve warm with Rum Sauce.

RUM SAUCE:

2/3 c. water
1/3 c. rum
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. butter

Heat water and rum. Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add to water and simmer until thick. Remove from heat and add lemon juice and butter. Mix well. Serve warm over pudding.
