PORK CHOPS AND MUSHROOM GRAVY | |
I changed the game a bit on some of the standard pork chops and mushroom gravy dishes. I added 2 cloves of garlic and 1 cup of chopped onions for an additional taste treat. 4 lean boneless pork chops 1 cup onions, chopped fine 2 cloves, garlic chopped fine salt and pepper (fresh ground pepper is great) 2 tbsp. butter 1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup 3/4 can milk + 1/4 can water (use empty soup can) Brown the chops in butter for a few minutes per side. Get a nice brown on the top side. Add chopped onions and garlic for the second side browning so the flavor pops. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Add soup, milk and water. Let simmer over low heat for 5 to 10 minutes. Transfer to oven and bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes, corn and a blue cheese salad. Serves 4. Submitted by: Axman |
