1 c. butter
3/4 c. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. confectioners' sugar
1 c. flour

Blend ingredients until well combined. Form into small balls and refrigerate 1 hr. Place on cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Flatten each ball with thumb.

Bake at 350°F for 15-17 minutes. Cookies should be just golden on bottom and not at all browned. Cool completely.

Frosting:

1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. half & half

Mix ingredients, blend well, frost cooled cookies lightly.
