ROAST BEEF 
2 - 4 1/2 lbs. beef roast (rump, top round, rib)
2 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. paprika
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar

Mix together all ingredients, except roast and rub mixture into the meat. Place in roasting pan with no water nor cover. For a 4 1/2 pound roast (well done); bake at 200 degrees for 6 1/2 hours. Med well done; bake at 175 degrees for 3 1/2 hours, then 200 degrees for the rest of the time (3 hours). There is absolutely no shrinkage of meat.

I have made this recipe at least a dozen times. The flavor is phenomenal, and it always turns out perfectly.

I am generous with my seasonings- especially the dry mustard. I will also put it in the crockpot and let it cook for longer because then I get fantastic gravy from it.

This recipe deserves to be higher up in the results.
