1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream together shortening, sugar, butter, and vanilla. Mix in flour, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add 1 cup coconut. Chill for a few hours. Bake at 350 degrees until golden (8 minutes).
