PEANUT CRISP BARS 
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
Dash salt
1 c. Jif peanut butter
2 c. crisp rice cereal
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar

In large glass bowl, combine granulated sugar, corn syrup and salt. Microwave about 3 minutes on until sugar is dissolved. Blend in Jif; stir in cereal. Pat evenly into buttered 11 x 7 x 2 inch pan. In a small glass bowl, microwave butter and brown sugar for 45 seconds or until melted. Add milk and vanilla. Stir in powdered sugar, beat until smooth. Spread over Jif cereal mixture. Chill until firm. Cut into small bars. Makes 4 dozen.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
