VELVET CRUMB CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Bisquick
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease pan (8 x 8 x 2 inch or 9 x 9 x 1 1/2 inch). In a large bowl, blend all ingredients on low speed for 1/2 minutes. Beat 4 minutes on medium speed. Pour into greased pan. Cover with Streusel Topping. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.

STREUSEL TOPPING:

3 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. nuts, chopped

Mix all ingredients with a pastry blender until it looks like small peas, except for nuts. Add nuts and sprinkle on cake.
