RICK'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 lb. butter, softened
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. white sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
5 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 8 oz Hershey's chocolate bar
1 24 oz bag of chocolate chips
2 cups walnuts, chopped

A friend made these wonderful cookies for our vacation. You'll love 'em!

Cream together one pound of softened butter with 2 cups brown sugar and 2 cups white sugar. Add 4 eggs, 2 teaspoons vanilla. Mix together thoroughly, set aside. In another bowl, add 5 cups oatmeal (2 of which have been blended to a fine powder in the blender).

To the oatmeal, add 1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 2 teaspoons soda and 4 cups flour. Blend wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Mix well.

Grind 7 or 8 ounce Hershey chocolate bar in blender. Add ground chocolate, 24 ounce bag of chocolate chips and 2 cups walnuts, chopped. Roll into golf ball size shapes.

Bake at 375 degrees for 6 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet. WATCH VERY CAREFULLY DURING BAKING.
