STIR-FRY 
4 servings rice
1 lb. beef, round steak or pork
3 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. dry cooking sherry
4 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 c. salad oil
1/2 lb. mushrooms
2 med. onions
2 green peppers
1/2 tsp. salt

Prepare rice, cut steak lengthwise in thin slices. Mix soy sauce and next 4 ingredients - add beef - toss lightly to coat and set aside. Cook vegetables in oil - about 5 minutes and remove. Add meat mixture to oil - stir-fry until it loses pink color. Add vegetables again and stir-fry until hot. Serve over rice.
