Going to try the stove top idea by Bessler (Pennsylvania)... with a New York Strip. Unfortunately, no longer have a grill - due to being in an apartment/vs/ house. This has to be fantastic - Charlie - PLEASE submit any other great idea's/recipes you have...

Thanks Charlie, I had to cook a t-bone that had unfortunately, spent some time in the freezer, I didn't have much expectation for it. I unthawed it in your marinade with ay little Worcestershire added and let it come to room temperature. Cooked in a screaming hot grill pan in avocodo oil 2 min turn, 2 min flip 2min turn, 1 min off, 5min covered w foil. While resting, I turned the pan off and cooked sliced onions in it and added the marinade after a couple minutes. Yikes! Old frozen beef and week old sliced onions... YUM! Your marinade saved the meal!

I absolutely love this recipe!! I've used it many times & my steak always turns out beautifully! The sugar creates a perfectly charred crust on the meat (great for those fancy grill marks!) & you don't taste the mustard at all. I love the way the soy sauce steps creates another level of flavor! I always use a strip steak and by puncturing the steak, the flavor works wonderfully into it! I have changed the recipe slightly tho. I use creole mustard in place of regular mustard & just use Montreal steak seasoning for the salt, pepper & garlic. Like some other reviewers, I also add a small amount of honey to the mix. I would recommend this recipe to anyone & have many times!

Very Good! I normally buy rib-eye and only salt and pepper them.I do not like to over power my steak with sauce or marinades; but, my husband had brought sirloin steaks home. In fear that hey would be tough, I searched for a marinade that would hopefully tenderize the steaks while leaving them with a good steak flavor. I found this recipe and ,being sceptical that it would have a mustard flavor, I only tried it because all the reviews were good. My whole family enjoyed the steaks, there was not a mustard flavor, the steaks were far more tender than I would have ever got them without a marinade. I think I will even try them on my Rib-eyes. The one thing I did do different was add a bit of butter to the top of steak as it was resting for 5 min. after it came off of the grill. Thanks Charley!

Okay, these t-bones weren't as tender as the rib eyes or porterhouse I had. The filet side was very tender, but the other side, which is wider wasn't, but it was tasty. I also think my bf cooked these a bit fast so that may have something to do with the 'not so tenderness' of the steak.

Okay, so I ended up marinating t-bones overnite. My bf didn't feel like grilling yesterday so he did it today instead. We're having baked mac and cheese, and I don't think I want anything else b/c it's awfully hot. Anyway, I'll post my results later.
