I use freeze-dried eggs, and added too much water. I had to add another 3/4 cup of flour to get the proper consistency. It worked out well. I also used peppermint extract.
My husband and I both love this recipe! Light and fluffy and a wonderful taste!

Just made these, exactly by the recipe. They are wonderful. Proud to find a recipe for those of us who are not "chocolate- crazy". Thanks !

I like this recipe. I decided to go snickerdoodle though and added 1/2 tsp each of salt and cinnamon. I rolled the balls of dough in cinnamon and sugar. Very simple and delicious!

This is a great recipe. I'd been making a similar to this with my great grandmother since I was a little girl in the 50's. I'm 62 now and these are still just as perfect, easy and good.

I rolled them into little inch balls and they didn't spread much, but rose into little perfect mounds.

I added coconut, a pinch of cinnamon, and pure vanilla extract. Tasted simple and light. Not the most flavorful cookie, but they can be altered with different flavors/spices.

As soon as they start to crack a little on top (looks like little stretch marks) they're perfectly done.

I tend to somehow follow recipes that make my cookies taste too floury but this recipe is a good one because they taste perfect.

Great recipe! I recommend rolling these cookies in your favourite sprinkles and it solves the bland problem and it looks great for any occasion.

I love this recipe it is verstile and yummy.

I keep the dough in small portions in the freezer. My husband likes hot fresh cookie right out the oven :) so I only make a few at a time and can add different ingredients every night.

Just a few of the many different cookies using this recipe: cocoa & chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, nuts, oatmeal & raisins, peanut butter, mint patties, and crusted up candy canes.

There are many more but I think you get the idea. If your not sure of how they will come out only make a few to test out your different ideas and make adjustments. One of the many benefits to this recipe.

This year I put in pumpkin spice in the dough. Using filling from left over pumpkin pie I put it in the center of the cookie ball, then surrounded the dough around the filling and smashed it very lightly flat as the recipe call for. Can't wait until there is more left over pumpkin pie filling!

Since I only make a few cookis at a time I use the toaster oven. I line the pan with parchment paper. The cookies slide right of the paper. It works better than greasing the pan and it's easier to cleaner up afterwards.

If you add peanut butter, cream it with the butter. I use 1/4 pound butter & 1/4 pound peanut butter.

I hope everyone enjoys these cookies as much as we do!

My dad and I made this and it was the best thing that we ever had and it tasted so good that we could not have enough. I also made this with my grandma and I brought it to school and everybody kept on asking me for it so I only had like 2 cookies out of 20 cookies.
