SPANISH RICE 
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1/4 lb. bacon
1 lg. onion, chopped fine
2 green peppers, chopped fine
1 lg. ground beef
1 1/2 c. rice, uncooked
2 tsp. chili powder

Chop bacon into small pieces and brown lightly. Drain and set aside. In large Dutch oven, brown ground beef, onions, and green pepper. Add in bacon and stewed tomatoes (in their juice). Add an additional 2 cans of water and rice. Cover and cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring often.
