SWEET AND SOUR RED CABBAGE 
1 med. sized red cabbage, shredded
4 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 tart apple, peeled & thinly sliced
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
5 tbsp. vinegar
2 c. boiling water

Cook all ingredients together 20 minutes, covered, stirring occasionally. Serves 6.
