POPCORN BALLS 
Dishpan full of popcorn
2/3 c. corn syrup
Few drops food coloring
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. boiling water
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. butter, melted
2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. baking soda

Put popcorn in dishpan. Combine syrup, sugar, water, vinegar, and coloring. Heat at soft crack stage (275-280 degrees). Remove from heat; add butter, soda, and flavoring. Pour over popcorn and form into balls.
