You do NOT have to scrape the filling out of the cookies, just crumble them, save yourself a step, & add the soft cream cheese. These are the easiest thing you will make & are out of this world delicious

love these Oreo balls. To keep your chocolate from getting to hard add some paraffin wax while melting chocolate.

Works great with recipe for Reese's Peanut Butter cup peanut butter instead of cream cheese. Both are delicious though.

1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. REDUCED FAT peanut butter (important it's reduced fat)
1/4 tsp salt - mix all.

I used fork with short tines to roll in the almond bark and then 2 forks to cradle ball to get it out of the chocolate. Worked well.

I just made these and wish I had read the tip about the pretzel in the middle. I swear I was about to kill my husband and my kids (not to mention the cats!) every time one of them came in the kitchen because I was so frustrated trying to dip the balls in the coating! What's the secret? I chilled the balls and made sure the coating was sufficiently thinned but it was time-consuming and difficult. I used toothpicks, spoons, and fingers but nothing really worked well (and I certainly never got anything like the various pictures online). I did add some nice Christmas cookie sprinkles and will just heap them up on a pretty footed cake platter for our New Year's party and hope no one notices. They do taste good, however (and no one seems to be holding my bad mood against me--probably because I let everyone have an Oreo ball, or Snowman Egg as we're calling them).

I find that using store brand is best to use in comparison to actual Oreos due to Oreos packages have gotten smaller (less cookies).

This recipe is exactly what I was looking for! Much simpler for me to figure out, and these Oreo balls are amazing!! I will definitely be taking these to family on the holidays.

If you choose to have a peanut butter flavor, just add 2-3 tbsp of peanut butter to melted almond bark before you dip chilled balls.

I actually mix white almond bark with Bakers White Chocolate bricks or chips. Makes it sooo much better. I also use any leftover white chocolate/bark mix & pour into a bag w/ pretzels to make choco covered pretzels :o) Also-my husband LOVES choco-mint, so I melt a bit of Ande's thinmint chips with chocolate almond bark for mint-chocolately-balls. He LOVES 'em :o)
