HONEY NUT GRANOLA 
2 1/2 c. oats, uncooked
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sunflower nuts or chopped nuts
1/3 c. honey
1/3 c. butter, melted
1/4 c. unprocessed bran or wheat germ
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins, chopped dried apricots or chopped dates

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine all ingredients, except dried fruit. Mix well. Bake in lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan at 325 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Stir occasionally. Stir in desired dried fruit. Spread mixture onto ungreased cookie sheet. Cool. Store in cool dry place or in refrigerator. Makes about 6 cups.
