THE BEST BROWNIES 
1/2 c. vegetable oil or melted butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. unsifted self-rising flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Blend oil, sugar and vanilla in mixing bowl. Add eggs; beat well with spoon. Combine flour and cocoa; gradually add to egg mixture until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from edges of pan. Cool in pan. Frost, if desired. Cut into squares.
