1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
2/3 c. milk
3 tbsp. melted butter

Sift dry ingredients together. Combine egg, milk and melted butter; then, mix with dry ingredients until lumpy. Put in well greased and floured 8 inch square pan. Sprinkle on topping. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. (You may make a batch of the topping for a layer halfway in the batter.)

TOPPING:

1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix together until crumbly.
