RED CIRCLE CUCUMBER PICKLE 
2 gal. of lg. cucumbers (15 or 20)

Peel, cut in half and core out center (seeds). Cut in rings.

2 c. of pickling lime
8 1/2 qt. water

Put in water and let stand 24 hours (pour over cucumber rings).

Drain and wash in cold water, cover with cold water and soak for 3 hours, then drain.

1 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. alum
1 bottle of red food coloring

Cover with water and simmer 2 hours. Drain.

SYRUP:

2 c. water
2 c. vinegar
10 c. sugar
8 sticks cinnamon
1 lg. pack of red heart cinnamon candy

Mix and bring to a boil. Melt candy and pour over cucumber rings. Cover and let stand overnight. Next three days, reheat syrup only and pour back over cucumbers. Third day heat and put in jars and seal.
