HOT CHEESE AND SPINACH DIP, AKA
LOAF

2 cups cream cheese
1 lb. old cheddar, shredded
1 cup mayonnaise
1 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained well
1 large raw white onion, chopped fine
3 tsp. dried fine dill
1 lb. bacon, cooked well and crumbled
1 large French or sourdough loaf

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. It is easiest to mix it with your hands. Mix well.

Cut the top off the loaf and save it for the lid. Remove the insides of the loaf, being careful to not puncture the bottom. Save the soft bread to toast for dipping later. Put the cheese mixture inside the loaf and top with the saved lid.

Wrap with tin foil and bake in a 350°F oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Take it out of the foil and serve using the crust or crackers for dipping.

This recipe is always a a big hit and requested.
