FAVORITE RAISIN SAUCE 
1 c. seedless raisins
1 c. water
6 cloves
1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. vinegar

Wash raisins and put into saucepan. Add water and cloves and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove cloves

Mix in sugar, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper and stir about 8 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Add butter and vinegar. Simmer 1-2 minutes longer. Serve with baked ham or cold cuts.
