ITALIAN SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb. lean ground beef
3 tbsp. olive oil

Saute the onion in olive oil, add ground beef and brown slightly. Then add the following: 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 2 sm. cans tomato paste 1 can sliced mushrooms 1 c. red wine (I prefer Chianti) 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. oregano 1 bay leaf Pinch of cumin seed Pinch of sweet basil Pinch of thyme Pinch of marjoram Pinch of rosemary

Simmer 2 hours.
