ITALIAN SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1/2 bu (16 lbs.) ripe tomatoes
1 pt. oil
4 hot or sweet peppers
3 lbs. onions
2 whole bulbs of garlic
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. sweet basil
2 tbsp. oregano
1/2 c. salt
8 cans tomato paste

Grind peppers, onions, and garlic. Cook in oil 1/2 hour while tomatoes are cooking. Then add this mixture to the cooked tomato juice also adding remaining ingredients. Cook until boiling. Pour in jars and seal.
