BANANA BARS 
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. mashed bananas
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. pecans, chopped

Mix well with mixer. Put in greased jelly roll pan or very large loaf pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350.

PENUCHE ICING:

1 1/4 lbs. butter
1/4 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. powdered sugar

Melt butter, add sugar and bring to a boil. Boil 2 minutes. Add milk (set off stove) and bring back to boil. Cool and add powdered sugar. Beat by hand until smooth. Spread on cooled bars.
