BANANA BARS 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. buttermilk
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Sift together flour, salt and baking soda. Mix all ingredients together. Bake in buttered jelly roll pan at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

5 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. powdered sugar

Boil butter, milk and brown sugar for 3 minutes. Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Can add more powdered sugar until spreading consistency. Add 1 cup nuts. Spread on bars. Double this for jelly roll pan.
