ORANGE BANANA BARS 
1 ripe, lg. banana, peeled
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. chopped walnuts, toasted
2 tsp. grated orange peel

1. Puree banana in blender (3/4 cup).

2. Combine dry ingredients.

3. Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Beat in dry ingredients alternately with pureed banana. Fold in nuts and orange peel.

4. Pour into greased 8 inch square cake pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan. Spread with orange frosting.

ORANGE FROSTING:

1/3 c. butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. orange juice
2 tsp. grated orange peel

Beat butter with sugar. Beat in orange juice and peel.
