BANANA BARS 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 lg. bananas, mashed
3/4 c. sour milk or buttermilk
2 scant c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix well, pour into greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

CREAMY FROSTING:

2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 whole egg
1/4 c. granulated sugar
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat powdered sugar, salt and egg well. Combine granulated sugar and water and boil 1 minute. Gradually pour sugar and water over powdered sugar mixture, beating well. Last add Crisco and vanilla. Beat until fluffy and spread over bars.
