24 HOUR ITALIAN BEEF (CROCKPOT) 
3-5 lb. rump roast
2 c. water
1 pkg. Au Jus gravy mix
1 pkg. Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix
Italian seasonings (optional)

Mix together water, gravy mix and dressing mix, pour over roast in crockpot. Cook on low for 12-15 hours. Break up meat and cook again on low for 10-12 hours. Serve on Italian buns.

This recipe is even better, IF you add one pack of dry Ranch Dressing mix...in with the gravy & Italian dressing mix... This combination - along with the roast juices during cooking - will make a gravy - that NO restaurant can touch. THIS RECIPE IS FANTASTIC....as said - when the dry Ranch is added.... You will NEVER fix a roast - any other way...

I prepared this beef (taking the advice of the previous reviewer) and added the ranch dressing. It was excellent and simple to make. I'm going to make it for my granddaughter's baby dedication.

This recipe is fantastic w/ the ranch!! After cooking it for 12 hours and then breaking it up, it should only be cooked for another hour, not 10-12 hours!!! It burnt it and dried it all out, making another batch for my party tomorrow...following the correct directions though :)
