BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES 
1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Melt butter; stir in brown sugar. Cool slightly. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in sifted dry ingredients and pecans. Turn into greased 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
