BANANA NUT BREAD 
1/2 c. butter (butter is best)
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. mashed bananas
1 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, butter, and eggs thoroughly. Stir in milk and bananas (use very ripe bananas - I use about 3 large ones even if it measures more than 1 cup); add dry ingredients. Blend in nuts. Pour into a greased tube pan or 2 loaf pans. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes. Cool well before slicing. Loaf pans may not take that long to cook.
