CANDIED YAMS AND APPLES 
2 (16 oz.) cans Lucks Fried Apples
2 (1 lb. 7 oz.) cans yams
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. orange juice
1 tsp. grated orange rind

Combine apples and yams; pour into shallow baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients; spoon over entire casserole. Bake, uncovered in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Baste yams and apples occasionally with the syrup in the casserole. Serves 6.
