CHOCOLATE BANANA BREAD
1 c. flour
3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/2 c. semisweet chocolate pieces (cut smaller or mini chips)

Measure and set aside flour (all-purpose and whole wheat), baking powder, soda and salt. In a small mixer bowl beat sugar and butter with mixer until light, scraping sides of bowl often.

Add eggs, one at a time; beat well. Stir in milk and vanilla. Add flour mixture and banana alternately to sugar mixture, beating until smooth after each addition. Fold in chocolate pieces. Turn batter into a lightly greased 9 by 5 by 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack. For easy slicing, wrap loaf in foil and refrigerate overnight.
