CORN ON THE COB 
Corn on the cob
Salt
Soft butter

Usually one corn per person. Amount depends on people eating.

Place cleaned corn on the cob into a large pot. Cover with cold water. Omit salt (it tends to toughen the corn). Bring just to a boil and then let the ears stand in boiling water a few minutes. Eat at once with plenty of soft butter and salt to taste.

Why would you boil the sweet corn when you can grill it... It will taste great, soak corn in water with the husk on for a couple of hours, add some cheap O.J. to the water, grill for about an hour turning the corn every 15-20 mins. It will be the best corn you have ever had...
