POLYNESIAN BARS (SUGARLESS) 
3/4 c. whole wheat and flour
3/4 c. unbleached white flour
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
3/4 c. soft butter
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix together with hands. Press half into a greased 9x12 baking pan.

4 c. chopped dates
2 c. crushed pineapple (undrained)
3/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook filling until thick and smooth. Spread on the crust in the pan clear to the edge. Spread remaining crumbs on top and pat down.

Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Cool and cut into squares.
