NEVER FAIL FLAN | |
1/2 c. sugar (used in 2 parts) 4 eggs 2 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt Heat oven to 325°F; grease 6 to 8 Pyrex cups. Over medium heat in skillet, stir 1/4 cup sugar until brown like caramel. Pour a little into bottom of each cup. Beat eggs well with 1/4 cup sugar. Beat in salt, vanilla, and milk. Pour into cups. Place cups in pan filled with water about half way up cups. Cook in oven 50-55 minutes. Test for doneness by inserting knife. If comes out clean, flam is done. Cover cups and chill. To serve, turn cups over so caramel is on top as sauce. |
