OLD FASHIONED SUGAR CREAM PIE | |
1 c. brown sugar 3 heaping tbsp. plain flour 1/4 tsp. salt Unbaked pie shell 2 1/2 c. coffee cream or 1 1/2 c. Half & Half, 1 c. whipping cream 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 tbsp. butter, melted Mix brown sugar, flour, and salt. Pour one-half of mixture into the unbaked pie shell. Mix coffee cream, vanilla, and butter. Add this to other half of sugar mixture. Mix well. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle top of pie well with cinnamon before baking. Bake like a custard pie at 400°F for 10 minutes, reduce heat to 350°F and continue baking for 40 minutes. Remove from oven while it still shakes a little. |
