ITALIAN APPETIZER LOAF | |
1 pkg. frozen white bread dough (usually 3 loaves) 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded 1/2 lb. hard salami or pepperoni Italian seasoning or oregano 1/4 c. butter, melted Poppy or sesame seed Thaw 2 loaves of dough according to directions (can be done in microwave). On floured surface, roll out 1 loaf of dough into approximately 10 x 15 inch rectangle. Brush with butter. Spread 1/2 of cheese and 1/2 of meat. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Roll up, starting at long end, seal the ends. Brush with butter and sprinkle with poppy or sesame seed. Make about 12 cuts across roll, about 1 inch deep. Repeat this with second loaf. Let rise about 1 hour in a warm place (warm, but turned off oven is good.) Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. |
