J'S MARINADE 
1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
1/3 c. wine vinegar
1/4 c. ketchup
2 tbsp. cooking oil
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Sprinkle meat, both sides, with monosodium glutamate. Thoroughly combine vinegar, ketchup, cooking oil, soy sauce, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Pour over meat and marinate for at least 2 or 3 hours, turning once or twice. Use remainder of marinade as steak sauce.
