CHOCOLATE DIAMONDS 
1/3 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips (6 oz.)
1/2 c. walnuts

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add egg and beat well. Add flour, soda and salt; mix well. Stir in chips and nuts. Spread in greased 13"x9"x2" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut in diamond shapes while warm. Makes about 2 dozen.
