2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter
1/2 c. cocoa
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
1/2 c. coconut

Combine sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa in saucepan; boil for 3 minutes. Add oatmeal, vanilla, nuts, and coconut. Beat quickly while hot. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper.

NOTE: May omit nuts and coconut and add 1/2 cup more oatmeal.
