EASY BANANA NUT BREAD 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3 eggs, beaten
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugar in mixer bowl until light. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Add to shortening mixture alternately with bananas, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Spoon into greased 5 x 9-inch loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until brown. Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
