CHERRY COBBLER 
1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
2 c. sour cherries, sweetened
1 tbsp. tapioca

Mix and sift dry ingredients together. Cut in butter. Combine egg and milk and add to dry ingredients. Stir just until flour is dampened. Pour cherries into baking dish and sprinkle with tapioca. Drop batter in 9 mounds on top of cherries. Bake in hot oven (450 degrees) for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes more.

NOTE: You can use cherry pie filling instead of the sour cherries and omit the tapioca.
