Peanut Butter Cookies with Hershey Kisses

This recipe is SO GOOD! Only thing I do different is instead of using a cookie sheet, I use non-stick mini muffin pans. Roll the dough in a ball and bake them. Then sometimes when I want something extra special, instead of using kisses, I use Dove chocolates. Wow... you can't believe the difference in the chocolates.

These cookies are fantastic! Thank you for such a clear recipe. I like how you didn't go into detail about every step of the process. That implied that you respected your readers' intelligence and that it was not an intimidating recipe to follow. My version used whole wheat pastry flour, chunky natural peanut butter (unsalted) and dark chocolate kisses. Out of this world. I also borrowed "Okcountrygirl"'s idea to use non-stick mini-muffin trays for half the batch and it was fun to see and taste the contrast.

Mmm! These cookies were sooo good! From now on, I think I'll use this recipe instead of the one I found in a cookie cookbook. Thanks for the recipe!!!

I had these cookies at a teachers meeting 20 years ago. One of the students parent made it. I really enjoyed the cookies, and today I found the recipe on this site. Thanks! I will make it for my grand-children tomorrow.

Instead of using the kisses try half of a bag of mini chips. My family and friends really love them.

These were ok, but they did spread out, somewhat like a regular cookie.

I used natural peanut butter. They have a stronger PB taste. Make the cookies small or they flatten out too much. I started off at an inch then made them smaller to 3/4-inch.

Yummy! However, we got barely got 34 cookies, and some were pretty small. Use some whole wheat flour for some added nutrition (we used 1/2 and 1/2 and it was still delicious.) Also -- don't flatten balls, we flattened the first batch and kept the second as balls -- the cookies left as balls are much easier to press the kisses into. Enjoy! Thanks for this great recipe.

This recipe is a lot better than the jif recipe with CRISCO... if in doubt use this one, because Crisco makes the cookies hard (not to mention very unhealthy!)

We use almond butter due to peanut allergies and even the non-peanut allergy folks love it way better. give it a try.
