MOTHER'S HOMEMADE BROWNIES | |
1 stick butter 2 eggs 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. pecan or walnut pieces 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2/3 c. plain flour 1/2 c. baking cocoa Mix softened butter with sugar. Add eggs and mix until creamy. Add vanilla and salt. Add flour and mix slowly. Add baking powder. Add baking cocoa and blend until creamy. Add pecans or walnuts. Pour into an 8x12 inch baking pan. Wax paper works best but Pam and flour will work to keep from sticking. Bake in preheated oven at 325 degrees for 30-40 minutes. They are best if somewhat gooey in the middle. Remove from pan immediately after taking out of oven. Take wax paper off while still hot. Wait 5 minutes before cutting. Get a large glass of milk and enjoy! |
