FLAKY BISCUITS | |
2 c. sifted flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1/3 c. oil 2/3 c. milk Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend in the oil with a fork or pastry blender. Add the milk and mix until the dough forms a mass. Turn onto a lightly floured board and knead gently about 15-20 times. Roll or pat to a 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a floured 2 inch biscuit cutter. Place the biscuits on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly browned, 12-15 minutes. Makes 12 two inch biscuits. |
