ENGLISH MUFFINS 
1 c. lukewarm water
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. corn oil
1 c. flour
1 pkg. dry yeast

Mix above 3 minutes in electric mixer. Then add with wooden spoon 2 1/2 cups to 3 cups flour, a little at a time. This will be stiff dough. Add 1 tablespoon oil. Cover. Set in warm place 1 hour. spread about 1 foot long with fingers. Sprinkle corn meal. Cut and shape. Let rise again 1 hour. Cook at 400 degrees on electric gill 1 minute, turn over and do other side.
