ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
2 pkg. yeast
6 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. water
2 c. milk
Corn meal; optional

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt, soda. Heat liquid until very warm. Add to dry mixture and beat well. Stir in rest of flour to make a stiff batter. Put into two loaf pans that are greased and sprinkled with corn meal. Cover and let rise 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pans and cool.
