1 lb. boneless pork, cut into 1" cubes 1 lb. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped or 1/2 bag frozen chopped onions 2 med. chopped green bell peppers or 1 pkg. frozen chopped green peppers 1 lg. clove garlic, minced 2 tbsp. cooking oil 2 tbsp. all purpose flour 3 cans crushed tomatoes 1 lg. can kidney beans 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce 4 tbsp. chili powder 2 tbsp. ground cumin 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. black pepper 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese Put oil in pot. Brown pork and beef, add onion, peppers and garlic. Then stir in flour. Add remaining ingredients except cheddar cheese. Simmer 1 hour. Top with cheddar cheese in bowls and put in microwave to melt cheese then serve. Serve with nacho chips. |
