WALNUT BRITTLE (ENGLISH TOFFEE) 
1 lb. butter (real)
1 lb. sugar (2 c.)
12 Hershey bars (flat)
1 tbsp. water
2 c. chopped nuts

Grease cookie sheet (butter) and spread nuts over bottom. Put butter, water and sugar in pan and cook over high heat, stirring constantly until it becomes brown (light brown) in color. Pour over chopped nuts. Put candy bars over brittle and spread with knife until they become soft. When cool, break up.
