ITALIAN CAKE 
2 c. sugar creamed with
1 1/4 c. shortening
2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk

Mix together and beat. Fold in beaten whites of 5 eggs. Beat and fold in yolks of 5 eggs. Mix well. Add:

1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. coconut

Bake at 325 to 350 degrees.

ICING:

8 oz. stick cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
